Are you thinking about starting up a business? Have you ever bought a stock?

If you have ever bought a stock, in some ways you have started up a business. Or, at the very least, you became part owner in that business.

Yet, all too often, we look at the stocks we own as just a number that we hope will consistently rise. When it doesn't we become disappointed and sell the company. This is more akin to gambling than investing.
