Affiliate managers are not keen on working with inexperienced affiliates. They don't have anything against them. It's just that they are afraid the affiliates won't follow procedures.

Many mistakenly believe you just throw up a couple of banners with their affiliate links and the cash will come rolling in. What's worse, they try all kinds of schemes that they read about one way or another. These schemes can get the vendor (affiliate manager) in trouble.

Experienced affiliates, on the other hand, know that schemes don't work. They know how to create value for their readers and to gently nudge these readers to affiliate vendors' websites. When done correctly, affiliate managers love these affiliates and want to continue working with them for long into the future.
